What insurance does Lotus MHC accept?

Our insurance billing for psychotherapy goes through a biller setup to take specific insurances from Aetna, Optum, and Cigna detailed here. If you have Out-of-Network coverage with any other insurance (you can find this out if you call the number on your card), I provide monthly Superbills for easy PPO reimbursement. Our per session cash pay rate for psychotherapy is $175.

What is the difference between Coaching and Psychotherapy?

Coaching focuses on helping individual clients set and achieve personal or professional goals that emphasize future-oriented solutions, motivate them, and help them grow personally. Psychotherapy targets psychological distress, helps resolve underlying issues, and improves overall mental well-being. With Lotus MHC, the two are not interchangeable and Coaching can not be used as a replacement when a client is on vacation or otherwise away from home.

Does Lotus MHC operate Nationwide?

Yes and No. We can only do individual psychotherapy with clients that are located in New Jersey, Washington, D.C. or Virginia during the therapy session.

Coaching services are available anywhere in the US for $130 per 45-minute session.

How long are sessions and how long will I be in therapy?

Session length depends on what’s going on in your life and what we’re trying to accomplish in the session. We schedule an hour for you. Its up to you if we need to use that full hour.

Before therapy starts, we collaboratively set what goals we’ll be working toward for you. Many of our past clients find that they’ve met their initial goals in 3-6 months and can decide if they’d like to work toward new goals or discontinue services at that time.
